If you've been following me for a while, you know this holiday season has been a whirlwind of ups and downs and moving at what feels like the speed of light.
It's been I N C R E D I B L E, and I have been blessed to see so much growth in this business. But this year, I want to set some goals to really focus on myself and my family. That is hard to do in the holiday bustle, but that is why it is so important! I want to make sure my mind, my heart, and my spirit are all in the right place.
So, here are my top three goals for December!!
1. Spend 30 Minutes Outside Every Day
For those of you that aren't in Texas, this might be challenging as the cold weather sets in, but for us Texans, January is like our Fall! Some days have a brisk chill while others might sneak up to t-shirt weather. That's why it is the perfect time to be outside. Being in the fresh air is therapeutic for me, but with my busy schedule, some days it is hard to find the time! But this month, I am making it a priority!! Whether it is working out, blowing bubbles with my daughter, or sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine, you know where to find me! ;)
2. Cook Dinner With My Daughters 3 Times a Week
At least!! But I wanted to set a goal I could realistically make. This business takes me away from home periodically for days at a time, but I always try to make it back for at least a few nights with my ladies. And I want to make the most of those nights! It's an amazing way for us to spend time together without distractions while doing something fun. Plus, we get a yummy meal out of it too!!
3. Ask my Girls One Thing They Are Thankful For Every Day
This is something I do a lot, but I want to make a point to do it EVERY day. When we sit down to dinner, I ask my girls to tell me one thing they are grateful for that day...and trust me, we've had some interesting answers from my four-year-old!! But on our best days and our worst, it is a reset that focuses our hearts back onto thankfulness and all of the things we have been blessed with. There's no better way to enter the New Year than with a heart of thankfulness.
